New York, NY (December 11, 2008) - Coming soon…
New York, NY (November 13, 2008) – The XXL coverboy stopped through Universal here in NYC to play some beats for SRC Head of A&R Dante Ross and we had a chance to chop it up afterwards. He gets into a RIDICULOUS verse talking about his path of growing up, and in our interview, talks more about that. The topics: meditation, doing what he’s afraid to do, thinking he was the shit when he got signed and why he keeps a compass on his left hand.
New York, NY (September 25, 2008) – We caught Chuck up in Harlem at Frederick Douglas Academy prior to a photoshoot for his group, and he sat down with us to spit a few of his favorites verses. He addresses Byron Crawford, success, “unrealing” himself, working against self-doubt, why Nas should have kept the original title of his record and using music to fight for artistic integrity.

New York, NY (August 5, 2008) - In a crowded (noisy) lobby last week at the Radisson Martinique NYC outside the Dynamic Producer Conference, Torae came through and chopped it up with us for a minute. These are the results.
What’s impressed me most with the cats that we’ve gotten on this series is how down-to-earth and how hip-hop conscious they are. Now, that’s not to say they couldn’t be superstars given the platform; on the contrary, each of them, from Sky, to Donny, to Asher, to AC, to Propayne, to Torae, to Emilio, to Cerino all have the unique kind of magnetism and charisma needed to connect with an audience. But at the same time, they all seem to be pretty levelheaded dudes.
You don’t find that often. When I do, I feel it needs to be recognized. Shout out to good hip-hop. Click here to download his mixtape, “Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself.” It’s worth your time and hard drive space.
Part 1 - Torae talks about his album Daily Conversation, his recent European Tour, the Dipset Affiliation and his UMA nomination.
Part 2 - Dude spit three of his favorites at the DP Conference in NY last week. He goes in on “Click,” “Merchants of Dreams,” and “Get It Goin.” The nomination for UMA is obvious. Go in!
New York, NY (November 12, 2008) - The homie Tommy Ruffin is putting together an unofficial official Loud.com mixtape, aptly dubbed The Loud Tapes - Valium 1. Check out the trailer and get hype! It will be hosted by yours truly and will feature production from Tommy and spits from some of the most dangerous emcees you may or may not know. Takin you higher on December 19, 2008!!
