We here in the building are continually in shock as to the number of emcees who think they couldn’t use $100,000 - both the dope ones and the wack ones. Obviously the emcees who’ve signed up and are knee-deep in heavy work have made a commitment to do everything in their power to get the money and the deal, for better or worse… but what about the rest of you? Where are you? What’s the hold-up? Are you too good for the contest? You think the contest and the money are not real? For all the non-believers…

everyone knows the money is real…..what we want to know is if you had any connection with some of these artist before the contest started…..that is the issue that we want you to address…..i can tell that some of the artist are for real(REAL WINNERS THAT WORK ARE LISTED AT THE BOTTOM)…..but some of these dudes came out of no where…..they didn’t promote, they didn’t have any friends, and they only had about two songs on their pages with about three comments….they don’t post bulletins…..they have no connections with anyone in the LOUD community…..how are some of these dudes catching your attention, if the fellas in the community on LOUD, that are on here grinding everyday haven’t even heard of them….all of us check in and out of here about 15 times a day everyday for the last year and a half……yet we have never heard of these cats, recieved a friend request, or even seen one comment on someone page promoting themselves….it just looks kind of shady when all of us throw up about 500 ads on here each contest…..it just doesn’t make much sense……i mean im not accusing no one…..but i just wanna know what we need to do to get that kind of attention…..because i was told that this was about musik and hustling for votes and friends on here…..but it seems like all we have to do is put our songs in the contest, sit back not work hard, and win…..set me straight steve….this is not a shot at you or your label or any of the winners…..but a lot of these dudes are scared to ask you anything because they know that it may mess up their chances in winning…..so hit us up let us know what is good……what is SRC looking for someone that is laid back an lazy or are you looking for a hard worker…..yung jerz, obea, delbugotti, cheddarecords, asap, jouce, and jaylan…..i see you dudes working i know how much time you guys put on here…..but don’t you think that it is wierd that the other catz in this contest are obsolete??? lets say you don’t win and one of these dudes that don’t promote win….wouldn’t you want some answers to how they made themselves so established that they beat you even though you worked three times as hard as they did…..let us know what is good steve…..oh and don’t take this as i think that im better than anyone on here….i know that i need a lot of work on my loud studio recordings…..but im so nervous to put any of my real musik on here….. until i know that this contest isn’t a marketing scheme for a couple of underground SRC artist….

damn, i see mr rifkind address the site pretty damn stern with that, i read the comments down below, i feel and understand everyones point. think ive been down now like 2 months, entered the beat contest in the 4th rd i think…..
dont really care if i did good or bad, i just saw it as an easy way for more industry ears to take a listen to my creativity. since being down with this site, only one rapper reached out to me, and said a he was feeling a beat.
we connected he laced the beat, hope me and the dude can build from now on. big ups “slimpickens”. i dont boast or brag up here, all my post say honest votes, i dont ask for 5 flames or any of that crap….. mr rifkind said bring the creativity, i do that, i sample when i need to but the last year or so ive been grinding without sampling, more money in orginal creativity, more publishing. iam looking to put my creativity in every outlet i can from commercials, to theme, to radio jingles, cell phone rigntones, games….list goes on, on thing i would like to see with these community is everyone work together and create this music, never know who could be the golden chemistry in here… rappers stop acting like the beats gotta be superior hot, cause some times the rappers words aint right and it aint the beat fault….. i could use a lil more feedback to on my beats, but shit i guess thats all i need to say, i respect the site, i respect the label, its a hard grind, someone like me will keep striving till i get it….

whouknowhomey and Damian Deluxe said it all and they said it best! Collaboration and Promotion is the key to getting to the money. This is a contest but it is also a chance to meet other talented people who may just be the step u needed to take to come up.
Bama if yo beats are that tough, what the hell are you doing on here. My vocals and lyrics are worth more than that,too but i don’t over look no door or window in this line of business. Hell my 12 year old son make a lot of my beats and i collab with anyone with talent and will bless their beats, remember a beat without content is worthless. Wake up man, if u rollin in dough like that then i guess u’re within your rights to talk that way. Just hate to see talent miss out on talent that will always in the end lead to REAL MONEY! If you got it like that, my props to ya.
As whouknow said, Talented people stay humble, stay focused, and keep doing themselves and believe in the end it will pay off.

HOWEVER… From your comments here, you make it seem like people are doing something wrong hustling, try to get people to vote for them and having their friends and family join the website… How is that? I thought it was part of the rules to promote yourself, and get “friends and family” to log in and vote for you. Same, there is a reason why they complimented Del Bugotti on his hustle.

Lilove, you’re absolutely right. I dont feel like theres anything wrong with hustling. Some people got it and some people dont. I see people hanging out at the gas station selling cd’s all the time and they make a living off of doing that lol. 10bucks a cd, and they may sell around 500 if not more.
But all im saying is i dont think they should leave it entirely up to that. I’ll be perfectly honest and say i get hit up atleast 5 times a day by the same person (true hustler) but his music may not be hot, and it may sound like a beginner. And this person may have 100 or more votes by the community.
Now say you got someone who is good and has hot music, (im not full of myself and im not being cocky) but lets say me-i had i think 12 no more than probably 15 votes. I tried to put in time and hit up people-yo check out my page if you feelin it leave a vote etc. I wasnt as creative as some people were, making pictures, doing youtube videos etc. I didnt tell my mom sister and friends to get on a vote and maybe that is a personal problem.
But you have people that talk the talk and you have people that walk the walk. Some people are better at talking than walking so they let their talking manipulate people because words/hustling can be very powerful if done correctly.
I think people like that are the greatest to be honest lol. I would love to have a person like that as my manager. But leaving a producer battle up to the community and hustling skills verses leaving it up to the Music wouldnt be the way to go in my oppinion.
Of course they have to go with what they feel is hot, because they’re investing 15G, plus a 3 song deal with them. They cant let the hustler that has over 100 votes but wack music win the tournament. Then what does that say about them, cause i know Jeezy not rappin over no wack music regardless of how much of a hustler he is.

Yea i feel you on that as well. The way i see it- one hand always washes the other. We’re all going after the goal of being a producer/rapper, doing what we love, and loving what we do. So why not help eachother out. We’re not enemies we dont know eachother and we all have something in common-music.
Im really an R&B producer, so im trying to get more into the hip hop, uptemp club scene. And i just saw this as a great opportunity for me to see the progress i’ve made. So i learn constantly not from major but independent producers. I love listening to other producers tracks. Signed producers sometimes have to do what their told/asked for. We as unsigned independent producers do 100% what we want and i think thats kinda the problem in some cases. But its all in how you look at it.

I AGREE WITH TRU_OG IN THAT THE ITZ HARD FOR THE GREAT ARTISTS AND PRODUCERS TO GET HEARD. BUT IT’S NOT JUST BECAUSE OF THE VOTING. REAL TALK, I BEEN IN FIRST PLACE ALL THE THE TIME FOR SEVERAL ROUNDS AND IT AIN’T ON FAKE VOTES, I BEEN ON HERE GRINDIN BEING ACTIVE IN THE COMMUNITY SINCE ROUND 3 AND I SEEN ALOTTA OF PEOPLE QUIT. BUT THE REAL REASON WHY THEY QUIT IS BECAUSE OF THE JUDGES. WE GET THE IMPRESSION THAT THEY ARENT REALLY LISTENING TO EVERYBODY AND IT’S NOT JUST BECAUSE YOU AIN’T IN THE TOP 20. THEY REALLY NEED TO RE-VAMP THE JUDGING PROCESS BEFORE THEY REVAMP THE VOTING PROCESS BECAUSE IT’S ALL BASED ON ONE PERSONS OPINION WHO’S NOT AN A&R. SO WHY AREN’T THE A&R’S DOING ANY OF THE JUDGING. YOU MEAN IF I SEND SRC A DEMO, YOU GONNA LET YOUR ARTISTS CRITIQUE IT BEFORE YOU WOULD LET AN A&R? THAT DOESN’T MAKE MUCH SENSE. OR AT LEAST GIVE THE A&R’S FINAL SAY SO. BUT I’M REALLY DIGGING THE CONCEPT THAT’S GOING ON. AND IF SRC WOULD MAKE THIS ONGOING, THIS WEBSITE WOULD BE OFF DA METER!! There is hella talent here on Loud.com. Ive been spending alot of time just visiting profiles. Damn, Im impressed. Yeah the contest is running n the money’s real but much as I luuuv loud I have severe doubts about this contest n suspect it’s rigged. Haven’t forgotten Shontelles tshirt competition that DATBOYKAHN had a clear lead in almost throughtout and finished way ahead with votes yet didn’t even get in the top 5// if that aint rigged what the hell is??? and as others are saying people come from nowhere put up hardly any tracks n get ahead. sometimes they don’t sound that hot to me but seem to have a good sob story or something. Anyway.. we’ll see.. all I know is that good rappers I know are now thinking it’s a waste of their time entering. The question is.. in the long run do you want Loud to be taken seriously or regarded as a dubious site??? Queen Jaz

I’ve made it a point to stay outta these blogs cuz frankly, Im not into dick suckin my way into a record deal. But, the sad part is….. Mufuckaz cant realize Loud.com obviously appreciates that….
Jerny_1_lyricist clearly everything you’ve said in your first post was directed towards a person like me. LF Daze. Did it ever occur to you, MAYBE they picked me cuz they liked my music? See the problem with music currently is that there are too many outlets for every wack MC in the country to be convinced they have talent.
So…. because I was picked, without dicksuckin for votes, and being fake buddy-buddies with producers, that means I’m secretly connected to Loud? Your crazy. I probably have the least amount of connection with loud out of any of the cats that won rounds. No I dont have a million friends on my list.. No I dont have a million promos on my page. And clearly I didnt need them. I know EXACTLY why they picked me.. Thats the easy part… The Hard part is that they picked 8 other cats, and its my job to analyze why Loud liked them also. Your just bitter man… I havent even heard your music yet, but I can tell your wack just by your frame of mind about the whole situation. (I will listen later and if Im wrong I will acknowledge that as well…..)

It’s really THAT simple. and how i know it is cuz they picked me… and I hadnt even known about the site till 6 days before I signed into the contest. And honestly had no expectation of winning cuz I was just as skeptical about the contest as you. When the round ended I was in the 13th spot.. That means.. I wasnt the first or last person they heard, just the best at whatever they were looking for at the time.. When you cats use the phrase “He Came out of nowhere” What does that even mean? Are you saying because a person won the first time they posted songs that its wrong? If I Didnt win round 5 Ida been back the next round posting up new songs just like you. Whats the difference? None, except they Dug me and not you. Loud derives from a Label that put out the Likes of Mobb Deep, Big Pun, Wu Tang Clan…. You cats come up here rhymin like Shawty Low and wonder why they arent impressed?… Its hilarious.. And the funny thing is.. Im’a producer, I dont sit here and Grind on this site because I grind in real life. They dont want a website hustler they want a World hustler. Maybe If they run a street team contest alot of you cats woulda won. In the mean time Dont blame Lebron because he scores more points then Eric Snow, just because Snow spent more of his energy on the court doesnt mean he’s an all star. PS: The one cat that I truly felt got overlooked was a very talented lyricist (no names tho).. The problem is, He went out of his way to sound like Eminem circa 99′. But still I could listen to one verse of his and tell he’s better by accident then 98% of the rest of you cats on purpose.
