Blog #12: Itunes and Shontelle - Do You Read Reviews?

What’s up guys?

It’s the 4th quarter in the music industry which is always the busiest time of the year. All the big hitters are coming out in the next two months including two of SRC’s own, Shontelle and Akon. Back in the heyday of CD sales there was a fourth quarter at Loud we we billed $100 million in sales. Obviously with the change in music from physical to digital we will not be selling that many CD’s, but thanks to new technology, we will be moving lots of digital tracks, ringtones, iphone apps, etc. Shontelle’s album is coming out November 18th and the single “T-Shirt” which we had the remix contest for on this site is doing great at radio and on Itunes. My question to you guys is do you read the reviews on Itunes? Do you find them to be effective or helpful? How many of you buy stuff on Itunes? Let me know what’s up.

    wassup steve,
i most definitely do read the reviews on itunes. i have mixed emotions about some of the reviews but then again it is someones opinion. sometimes it could be helpful and sometimes it isn’t. Me, personally i don’t buy anything off of itunes, but i do know people that do. I also know people that buy cds also but it has to be quality. So as far as akon and shontelle goes, they will be purchasing those. People want quality especially now that gas prices are high. And thats my 2 cents. 1!

I didn’t go digital yet. I did try to signup to sell music on iTunes. The return letter takes months to get to you.

    quality management process…

After we defined our scope and formulated exclusions, we have to describe applicable QMS processes per ISO 9001 Standard. This task is quite simple. We just need to transform the standard from a set of requirements into your company’s commitment to sat…
